Paige and Kim.....the Love-Bird Session

Last weekend we had a shoot with my cousin Paige. He is the most amazing guy and has been like a brother to me. We grew up singing together and even are known to perform a little Johnny and June duet every now and then.

Anyways Paige met the love of his life Kim, on a missions trip to Jamaica. She came out to Colorado from Virginia to meet all of the family and get some time with the one she loves. It was great to meet her and what a blast to have this session with them while she was here. I am so happy for you both and can't wait to shoot your wedding....whenever that may be! ;) Here are my favs from the day.

And now for the final shot. We had quite a time getting this shot....we were loosing light at a rapid pace, there weren't very many cars coming by and when they did they were going too slow. Oh and my personal favorite, we are all set up, tripods and all, cars finally start coming...and they want into the parking lot that we are blocking the entrance too. Despite all of these factors I think this is a pretty good shot. Oh and by the way I did NOT photoshop in the TWO LOVERS on the marquee. We turned the corner to approach the theater and saw that is what was showing. How perfect.

The Newlyweds Adventure to Colorado

I recently had the opportunity of doing a shoot for one of my co-workers Bethany, and her husband Brad. They just recently got married (1 and a half years ago) and made the big move from Texas to Colorado. They are a really sweet couple and they were very accommodating, even when I asked them to get on a train that was running(don't worry it wasn't moving).
Bethany is such a blessing to work with and was my partner in crime on a big project at work, oh and did I mention that she designed my logo!!! She did an amazing job, it is completely a reflection of me and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. So I in turn wanted to give her and her husband some photos that hopefully are a reflection of their love for one another. Here are my favorites...

Portraits in Woodland Park 1/31/09

This past weekend Monica, of Monica Starr Brown Photography, and I went on another photography adventure. We were on a mission to explore new places and get some photos for our profile pics on our websites/blogs. It was a beautiful day and we decided to drive up to my family's place up in Woodland Park. They have tons of great places to photograph on their property and after 4 hours of taking pictures we felt like we barely scratched the surface.
Monica has this awesome green vintage chair that we brought with us and found some other interesting things along the way. Monica was rocking some awesome new Ugg boots that I loved!
Special thanks to the Gordon Family for letting us roam around and take pictures all day.
Oh yes, our dogs make an appearance as well. Here are some of my favorites from the day....

The Bodester....

This past weekend I had the privelege of watching baby Bode while Travis and Britta ran some errands. Bode Chance was born on November 23 and is a precious little man. I can't believe how expressive he is for a two month old. I couldn't resist breaking out my camera and snapping a few photos of him. He is a lot of fun to photograph and we ended up with some good shots. One of which was used as his birth announcement! The title of the blog is my nickname for him, I have called him the Bodester since he was in the womb. :)
